Welcome back to OCPS PE!

Miss Rebecca and I are so excited to start another school year here at OCPS!  In case you haven't received a specials schedule you can refer to the one below to see which days you go to art, music, and PE.  It is important to know which days you go to PE so you can wear your PE shoes.   Shoes that lace (or velcro) and cover your toes and heels are the best, safest, and most comfortable shoes to wear for PE because most days we will be VERY active!  You can also earn a free PE day if everyone in your class remembers to wear your PE shoes 10 times! 

On Fridays we rotate specials.  Our first Friday will be a Tuesday rotation.  So, whichever special you go to on Tuesdays will be the one you go to on our first Friday.  The next Friday will be a Wednesday rotation, and so forth.  The Friday Rotation schedule is below the Specials schedule here.

Jump Rope for Heart  

Jump Rope for Heart was fabulous this year!  For 2015 our Little Chiefs raised over $6,000.00 for the American Heart Association!  I am so proud of their hard work!  We also spent some time learning that "cardio" means "heart".  When we work hard our heart beats faster, and that is healthy for our bodies.  

We jumped through hoops!

We jumped over snakes!

We jumped over rivers!  

We learned that if we swing our arms our jumps are more powerful.

  We jumped high!

 We learned how to leap!

We jumped with our friends!

We had a contest and tried to guess what colors the new Jump Rope for Heart flag would be.

OCPS Fun Run

Come join us at OCPS for the eighth annual Little Chief Fun Run and PTO Fall Carnival to follow! Anyone pre-registering for the fun run will receive a t-shirt.  Late registration runners will get t-shirts based on a first come, first serve basis. It is sure to be a great day for family fun!  See you there!
